polaroids + collage = trampoline trampoline2trampoline1Kim from Trampoline originally created her polaroid collages as a way to use her overexposed and underexposed (or expired) film. But what they have become is so much more as she explains, they are "studies in color, hue, texture and nuance. Bits and pieces of everyday life."These collages are limited edition pieces. They are not prints, but one of a kind, signed and dated. She also will create a custom piece for you, just convo her at her etsy shop.ethanollie.etsy.comLabels: affordable art, polaroids addthis_url=''; addthis_title=''; addthis_pub='poppytalk'; posted by jan at 11:59 AM 7 Comments old zinc and tin zinc & tinLoving these old zinc trays and baskets from Rockett St. George. new recycled notebooks! cartolina cards 2cartolina cards 1Fiona from Cartolina Cards sent over images of her new recycled notebooks, and even though we just also saw them on Design Sponge today, we thought we just had to post about them too. So if you're seeing them twice today, lucky you! We love them, because of the colors (and the reds are just matching our new color scheme so well), along with the fact that magnolia's just happen to be our favourite, favourite spring blossom ever (which can't come soon enough we say)! If we had a music room, it would be easy I think, I'd just hang them all on the wall. But since we don't and the only option is the living room I thought, other people must have this dilema as well, no? So why not start a flickr group titled Guitar Home? Anyone? Upload your guitar displays in your home, share your ideas, inspire us! We'd love to see! Can a place look good with lots of guitars in the mix? a new year, a new look and wishes 3154889472_48837e64d4_bWe’ve always found the new year a great launching pad to hit the reset button. Usually we do an overhaul in the home, cleaning closets, filing papers, and re-arranging furniture. But this year we were inspired to re-design the blog. With inspiration from a few of our favourite artists like the late Margaret Kilgallen, and sites like reformschoolrules.com, I did the graphics and Earl sprinkled his magic coding to make it all happen. We hope you like it!Along with our new look, we have some fresh new plans here this year and hope you'll stick around so we can share them with you! Wishing only good things for you in 2009!Mirror display image from Knack Studio. addthis_url=''; addthis_title=''; addthis_pub='poppytalk'; posted by jan at 10:30 PM 42 Comments
