Take a look to the clever idea of the designer Irina Ivanova, who create an special packaging for delicious healthy snacks, that will capture the attention of the children.   She also create a system to sell and promote the units. A machine that will contain the fresh food until the moment that a young consumer insert his/her special card to get in a very easy way whatever he or she wants to eat.  Design did it again. Do you remember that I told you on another post, that a very special restaurant was under construction on the top of a tree? Well, at that moment I show you pictures of the project, I mean, a very close simulation, but right now, real pictures are revealed. The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant open their doors to the public, so don't forget to visit the place when you visit New Zeland. Yes, because there is where this beauty came from.    I guess if the visitors have to made reservations with time, because there are not many tables to choose. It seems to be a very exclusive place to eat. Ingrid Bathe's porcelain ceramics are exquisite. She crafts each piece by hand usingporcelain paperclay -- it contains cotton fiber creating a visible texture --and then glazes only the interior side of the piece, leaving the outerlayer unglazed. The result is a delicate translucent vessel with alight bluish tint and where glazed, a light blue sheen. By using such afragile material, the artist intends her work "to provoke a heightenedawareness and sensitivity on the part of the viewer."   My fiance and I recently received Ms. Bathe's salt and pepper dish (above) as an engagement present and were really wowed. The translucent dish is accompanied by two tiny spoons that very much resemble small bones -- probably the most fragile thing I've ever held in my hands. And being that I'm quite a clumsy person, I made sure to place it in a very secure spot. I suppose you could use the salt and pepper dish every day, but I much prefer to use it when entertaining guests, I don't want to push my luck. This is what I was screaming for a few hours new years eve on the streets of lower east side Manhattan. Which consequently lead to a sore throat that turned into a cold & the flu that is going around. I am sick. :-( I won't go into details, but between achoo's, sniff sniffs, cough, coughs this is what I wanted to share with you. Burj Dubai is the tallest manmade structure. I saw the construction in progress when I was in Dubai visiting family in October 2008. It was quite a sight. Homes, offices, restaurants, gym and more all in this magnificent tower. Apparently Giorgio Armani has designed one of his flagship hotels in downtown Burj Dubai. And rumor has it that the Becks are interested in buying a home there. I can't wait for this awe inspiring combination of intelligence, glass, steel and concrete to take its final shape in September 2009. More details on Burj Dubai's website. Happy New Year! Hope you all had a blast ringing in the new year... if not then this post will definitely fix that.FIRST- The rumors on the interwebs have proven true. Thet are filming a real life version of "Where the Wild Things Are." Three cool facts that make this a little bit more exciting are: 1. They aren't using CGI but actual puppets and "wild thing" suits.2. Driected by Spike Jonze3. Screenplay written by Dave Eggers.I know... you guys are probably muttering under your breath that I am a quack and this is all Grade A Bologna.
